Lucked out and pulled a +atk/-spd Dorcas on my free summon session. I really like him as a character, and i want to run him on my arena core. The optimal build on this site with double distant def seems very juicy, problem is my Steady Breath Nowi absolutely needs the distant def seal, and she is irreplaceable.
I was thinking Distant def on A slot, and close def seal. He actually has better matchups with Close def than Distant def on seal slot according to Kagerochart (!).
So here i was wondering if Close def was actually better seal and build for him. Steady Breath is available, but i feel like he needs a little help against mages.
Distant def/Quick Riposte/Inf Pulse/Close def seal and Bonfire as special.
Opinions on Close Def, better suggestions for him?
Running a mix of Close/Distant Def makes Dorcas a Green Infantry Sigurd, minus the chain damage reduction effect.
Though, Dorcas should be able to take on Reinhardt no problem but Brave Lyn can be worrisome. He could opt to run Deflect Missile to increase his longevity against her.
Still, the build idea you provided, along with the Close Def seal, is pretty solid.
