Its been several months since IS finally changed the summoning pool to demote a few 5* units (Marth, Ogma, Catria, etc.).
Whilst its highly unlikely that the summoning pool will have any major changes in the upcoming months, I thought it was still interesting to ask,
"Which 5* heroes currently in the summoning pool, do you think deserve to be demoted?"
krazytre will heavily say Mist, others will say Karel...I lowkey think maybe Faye. She has even less of a reason to be there next to people like Soleil and Ares, who got demoted. I'd sure as hell +10 her, for one. The other, is that it's just incredibly ironic that her, of all people has a Firesweep.
It's only the more restricted one. If I pushed my wishes a bit further, I would also add heroes like Katarina, Amelia, Sonya and maybe even Tana. None of these demotions would be gamebreaking in any way, but they still have some valuable fodder, so it's really just a dumb wish.
I've defended Mist before, but I think she should probably be removed from the 5* pool along with Soleil and Shigure. Not that the latter two are as unremarkable as Mist, but they're 4* available and none of these three have fodder that's 5* exclusive.
Gray I think definitely needs to be taken out. Wind boost and Zanbato aren't that strong by current standards.
I feel like anyone who has a 4 star version shouldn't be in the 5 star pool, it's hard enough to summon a 5* unit without getting something we could have gotten at 4*.
Also, I wouldn't say these units don't deserve to be 5*s but possibly older units like Takumi, Julia, Sanaki, Lyn, Ryoma, etc. Simply because they're outclassed.
Faye, Mist, Karel, Luke, Gray, Libra, and L’arachel have no business being 5* exclusive... You could debatably say Eldigan, Azura, Y!Tiki, Julia, and Leo don’t deserve to be 5* due to having obsolete fodder and stats/weapon refines that don’t fit well with the current meta
Any hero with a 4* star version should be removed from the 5* pool, and each banner should have a restricted list of summonable characters in each category. 10 max, with equal chances.
Otherwise, every single one of them will become an unredeemable hell and the game could die because of this.
They didn't actually demote any 5 star exclusives, they dropped most if not all of the 4-5 pool to the 3-4 pool. I can think of a lot of units that should be dropped from at least 5 star exclusive to the 4-5 star pool. I'd argue for most if not all of the Gen1 mages to get a demotion.

Personally I think I agree with Mist being demoted (partially because she was my first healer and I used her before realizing she was trash) and probably Faye, but I also think maybe Minerva should be since her siblings are all 4*s. Karel kinda sucks and should be in 5* pool either lol, he's not really useful and his only saving grace is his skills. Also I was kinda happy Seth got demoted because I get a Seth pity breaker before he was demoted.............. why me
Ephraim being 5* exclusive and Eirika being 3-4* is a little weird too. I think Neph deserves 4* rarity so I can merge her easily :^) I actually quite like her in 5* pool personally since getting her is even more gratifying
