Does IS really need another year to release Radiant Dawn heroes again?

Because their first release was also January. What is this? An anniversary?

Well, to be fair, from what I've been told IS releases banners based on popularity of the games (like, verbal popularity).

And since Genealogy is the most mentioned by older fans, and awakening/fates by newer fans, it seems that they're going this route. Sure, people like 6, but it's not as popular as any of the other games in the series (and most people only know about Roy from Smash, at least Marth, Ike and the other have english games for people to play)

Yeah that's really the problem with FE6. It never received an official western release which greatly hurt it's popularity. Really no excuse how IS handled that one considering they then proceeded to bring over FE7 smh.

Then why did it take Marth so long to get another alt until after a year+ after everyone else? He ranked high. And didn't Alm rank higher than Eirika?

The high rank mainly stems from popularity in Japan. Marth isn't anywhere near as popular in the west. Keep in mind just because a certain character has ranked higher in popularity poles hasn't really meant thing when it comes to the order at which IS has been releasing them.

I understand that popularity is the main factor. (Otherwise, we wouldn't have all of these Awakening and Fates banners.) Still, I don't think it's really fair to force fans of the game to wait 2 years just for the game to get its first banner.
