Does Phantom Speed make Alm viable?

This also applies to Soren and any other units that use the windsweep and watersweep skills. I know the seal will definitely help these characters but to what extant? Like will it be a must have or will it have no affect on the meta or character regardless. Also separate question, but what units could great use out of the Res +1 seal?

Depends, its still not that great tbh.... it requieres you to atleast be on par or 4 points below the enemy... Alm's base speed isnt great (he's under 60% of the meta ;-;)

Alm with phantom spd is viable for tempest trials I guess.. But other than that I guess there are too many better options for a sword unit, including masked marth or arguably even alphonse.

Res+1 seal I gave to my -atk +res azura.

I like to think it does make him viable now. If you give him Darting Blow with that seal, he'll be hitting 41 Speed on initiation if he has neutral speed IVs (44 if +SPD) which would be enough to prevent an unbuffed Neutral Speed Ryoma with Fury from using Vantage against you. Combine that with an +Atk Alm with Threaten Defence and Alm can hit pretty hard.

Or if possible, Wind Boost 3, which is probably better for Alm since Falchion will help keep Alm's HP up and usually people will use Ardent Sacrifice to get into Vantage range so Alm will most likely always get 6 Speed with both initiating and retaliating, something Darting Blow can't do.
