Does this game ever get nerfs?

Im thinking of just quitting arena and aether raid because every team has a surtr I cant kill which just kills all the fun

Nerfs NEVER happen with japanese gacha games because of lawsuits.

I'm actually curious, do you have a link to any cases? This would never happen in the US, the user agreement strips you of pretty much every right and recourse you might have.

And yes things get nerfed, just not directly. New abilities introduce counters, powercreep marches on etc. If that werent the case we'd all still be rolling takumi's

I have no relevant links pertaining to nerfs, but nerfs never happen, and WILL never happen because it would be the business equivalent to committing suicide, and could very easily open the door to a flood of class action lawsuits if the devs did any kind of nerfing to publicly released characters, especially if those characters were summon-only since people could very easily prove that they spent their money to get a unit, only to later have the unit drastically changed from what they originally pursued.

And no, powercreep =/= nerfing. It's not even in the same ballpark because nerfing is the active lowering of an attribute of something, powercreep involves no lowering of anything, callign powercreep nerfing is like saying the Hennesey Venom F5 Supercar nerfs the typical family sedan.

Surtr was only good because of the arena bonus he had for defense. You probably won't see him much after this season ended

I hear ya. Fought a +10 res+ Surtr the other night, with a light blessing buff. My +2 Aversa couldn't even hurt him (we're talking 0 damage, 2 attacks), until Veronica debuffed him...

I had to use my own Surtr's chip damage to kill him. God help anyone who wasn't lucky enough to pull him.

Fought a guy in AR who was running triple Eir + blessed sutr team (plus a loki). Bastard had like 66 res base. Yeah thats totally fair lol.

Summer mica still blasted him to hell. But I had to hit him turn 1 before he got buffs.

HF Micaiah is probably coming next month with two legendaries. Save orbs. Or go for someone else who also kills Surtr like Lilina

I haven't encountered a Surtr that could be Alphonse with his prf weapon +def, then again I am only rank 16~17 in arena.

Im in tier 20-21 in Arena and Alfonse is a hard counter for Surtr with double brazen + def refine.
The problem will begin in a season with Sharena or Anna as bonus units, unless you can cheap him with poison strike.

Invest in anti-armor builds or offensive mages like Lilina.
Also, chip damage skills like pain+ or poison strike etc.
