Does this Build for Draug work?

I've never really considered using Draug as a unit, until I wanted to do something with Ardent Sacrifice/Renewal. I first wanted to do something with Zephiel, but he turned out to be too offensive to waste Support Skills on. Then I stumbled over Draug. Not only does he have an exceptional Defense, he also has outstanding HP, great Speed for an armored unit and with a few advancements, he can also hit quite hard.

Now, I thought of making him something like this:

Draug @ Brave Sword+
+ATK/-RES
Assist: Ardent Sacrifice
Special: Bonfire/Ignis
A: Death Blow 3
B: Renewal 3/(Wings of Mercy 3)
C: Hone Atk 3
S: HP +3

I've turned Draug into a quite hard hitting Healer/Tank.

Brave Sword+: Brings down cooldown counter immensely fast.

Ardent Sacrifice: YOU DON'T NEED A HEALER!

Bonfire/Ignis: I mean, you have to do something with the highest defense in the entire game, right?

Death Blow 3: Gives him some more hitting power, helping him get through some stronger units.

Renewal 3: How about using Ardent Sacrifice infinitely? Huh?

Hone Atk 3: 1. Everyone can make use of +Atk, 2. This adds to his support capabilities.

HP +3: Just so he has more HP. Personal preference.

What do you think?

The idea is good if your team needs an offensive healer. The problem I see here is that 1 movement he has. Unless you have an armored emblem team, his teammates will be running to him to be healed most of the time. Running Wings of Mercy will lose the point of the set and it'll still be situational. Draug is really tanky, but I don't think he is the right user to run this set, he needs other stuff to shine.

Then, how about:

Chrom @ Falchion
Assist: Ardent Sacrifice
Special: Aether
+SPD/-RES
A: Speed +3
B: Renewal 3
C: Hone Atk 3
S: Atk +1

And as far as I know, Falchion and Renewal do stack.

Yup, they do stack. Chrom is by far a better option, but I'd use Sol or Noontime instead of Aether (bc of that special cooldown, y'know). The rest is perfectly fine, he needs speed buffs from allies to avoid being doubled though.

I have done a similar thing to my raven, where I gave him renewal, ardent sacrifice and added darting blow to better work with renewal and I can say that having a healer that can actually fight well. I think that your Druag will keep people on their toes and would be a great unit.

I recommend getting Pivot, Sacred Cowl, and Wary Fighter, especially since you already have Death Blow and Brave Sword on him. If you get the 3 I listed above then you will have the best armor unit build :)
