Does anyone actually need Arena Medals?

Simple question, is anyone short of Arena Medals? I've got 14560 of them, enough for 29 refines but only enough stones and dew for 5 yet we keep getting them as rewards for quests. I can understand badges as reward as new player will take a long time to farm enough for a lot of promotions but the medals are so easily found and farmed. Additional, I haven't spent anytime farming them in the arena as a rarely do more than my 3 battles a day.

Any ideas of what else they could be used for? I saw someone suggest they could be part of making or buying accessories, hardly a great use as it's only cosmetic but I'd prefer that than them being so overstocked I'll never use them all.

Yeah, arena medals seems so unnecessary. The game has so many different currencies now and I hope that the next big thing is not going to be using yet another new currency, but will instead use arena medals, just like badges has started seeing use thanks to sacred seals after beeing borderline useless before due to their abundance.

Not sure what could the next big thing be tho. We pretty much reached the limit of things that make sense (like sacred seals and weapon refining). I personally want to craft weapon cosmetics/skins, just so I can give an oversized Guts-like sword to someone, but that's stupid and it will never happen.

I heard that someone wished to trade those medals for divine dew or refining stones. That would be awesome.

If they made a currency trading system, that would do a lot of good for everyone. I’m sitting at just under 20,000 medals but 64 stones and 240 dew.

I do like the currency trade thought. Perhaps:
10 medals for 1 stamina potion/dueling crest etc or 100 feathers
100 medals for 1 sacred coin or refining stone
1000 medals for 1 orb

That would be pretty broken and probably would require arena medal rebalancing, because people with enough time on their hands could farm considerable amounts of feathers/orbs by just spamming arena, because arena crests (or whatever they are called) are so often received as rewards, that it's not even rare to have 400+ of them nowadays, so you can replay arena quite a lot.

That's true, I've 781 Dueling Crests. It would take some serious grinding though. Using all of them and getting 45 medals per battle (I think that's about the average I get when doing advanced) would get me 105435 medals so, in my trading system, 105 orbs. For the effort taken it doesn't seem too unbalance to me but I admit it may need a little tweak, even just removing Dueling Crests from the list so you cant use medals to farm medals.

I doubt IS will let us have orbs in exchange for medals. More realistic would be feathers, shards, crystals and refining stones. But that's just my thoughts.
