Do you think we will ever get new demoted armors?

And maybe in the 170/175 BST range without relying on boons. Doesn't feel that great for f2ps to build a +spd gwen or sheena just for scoring.
Also it's been a long time they added a 4 star armor in the pool, so I guess it's kinda needed.
Asking this because after getting myself a +10 dragon team I kind of need some good armor units for arena, but I'm not too entusiastic about the current ones we have. Sure, they are good but I don't want a +spd gwen or sheena, or using an Effie that's worse than basically every lance armor (she's still pretty great but not the best, and I'm still unsure about her being my next project but her max is 169 so eh).

Don't realy care that much about armors, i don't have any armored unit in my core for now and i'm still able to get into t21 every other week

Getting into tier 21 is easy for anyone with a properly built arena team of 3 +10s. It's staying there that's basically not possible, due to BST.

Pretty much. If you have 3 +10 units where two of them are f2p armors like Sheena and Gwen and you only have an Askr bonus unit, you sort of have a chance (and only a chance) to stay if you get above 740 + all bonus kills. So far it seems really difficult to stay without either having a full armored +10 team or having a +10 bonus unit.

Considering I've been playing for 1.5 years, have spent quite a bit of money on this game (not for a while though), and my only 5* exclusive that I've managed more than +3 on is a +5 Zelgius, I'd say anyone who's not a whale can only look to 20.5 in the foreseeable future.

I'm pretty doubtful of that. Just look at the 5* armors we have now with their prf weapons...demoting someone like Zelgius or Hardin sounds impossible. A lot of them are also seasonal, so that's another problem. The only sort of possible one would be Amelia, but even that seems really unlikely. We'll see how far the devs are going to take the next power creep wave, so somewhere in January of next year, we could actually take a guess at some demotions.

As for not yet released armors, I highly doubt that they could ever get demoted after their first banner. They are always whale baits, so the devs will not miss that opportunity to gain more profits.

But you know, when units like Ares get demoted you never know, maybe they will introduce a 170 BST armor and then demote him/her.
Or probably not.

Amelia is the only one that even stands a remote chance. Still unlikely. What is more likely is that they could add a new armor unit who ends up getting demoted to the 4* pool shortly after being added. (Kellam, who?)

I do hope that they can introduce a demotable armor. It would definitely surprise me tho. It always seems like the newly released armors are either extremely powerful or seasonal (or both). The only sort of plausible scenario would be a 173bst (so that it can't get to 175) armor with no premium fodder like the fighter skills or armor march.

Then don't build them +spd just for score. If you're using wary fighter, the spd is good for blocking bold fighter. In PvE when you get them to +10 and use spd refines on their weapons, they get their spd to the mid to upper 30s, which actually will block a lot of doubles.

In any case, I think it is a mistake to merge just for arena points. That's so many feathers you could be spending on units you actually like.

Already did that, the only units I care about promoting now are units from old GHB I didn't promote, but being in tier 20.5 isn't good for a tryharding like me.
Also they can't block a bold fighter zelgius, and that's one of the units that Effie/Gwen should kill.
Well, maybe in the old arena since you basically need all bonus points possible but oh well.

Effie has no problem with Bold Fighter Zelgius. She kills him with 2 attacks or 1 attack with special, while tanking his special. With Wary Fighter she does lose the trade on the enemy phase, but survives.

Gwen can block Bold Fighter with +Spd, Spd refinement, and Wary Fighter as long as Zelgius is not +Spd. She can also tank the special without issue but doesn't kill him without a special because of her low attack.

Both Effie and Gwendolyn are also great users of Panic Ploy, which further helps the matchup.

Wait how? Gwendolyn gets 28 spd with the boon, yes? Zelgius has 33 at neutral. You can get within 5 points using ally support.

Either way, you're cutting his atk down with triangle advantage and you have so much HP and def that he shouldn't win even if he manages to black luna you.

I don't really like using armors in general but I would definitely make an exception if my boy Gatrie ever got in the game. And maybe he'd stand a chance of becoming 4* available after his release? I can hope at least right?

Also when can we get the ultimate FE OTP into heroes, Gatrie x Tree in a skirt!?
