Do you think..

...that someday, far in the future, the X Duel X skills will be available as seals? Because I think it's actually a good move to allow people to use whatever heroes that they want in the Arena and still be able to score, but sacrificing an A slot for it is a significant drawback. However, if the skills are in the seal slot, players can use them a lot more freely, and it would help F2P players by quite a lot (not that IS cares but still)

My answer would've been ditch BST altogether for arena, but then they are too afraid of losing money from whales. I don't think duel skills will ever be in the seal slot as there are too many of them. I think A skills will just be moved into the seal slot. I mean it's kind of happening already.

Yeah I don't think BST system will be removed, ever. I agree, if every type of heroes (excluding armors) would have a duel skill, we'd have 12 (4 colours, 3 movement types) seals, but still, I feel like it would be better to have Duel skills as seals, because I'd rather have flexible Duel skills than, say, a flexible L&D.

I'd actually the reverse but that's just because I'm content in tier 20-19. You have to admit triple life and death lonqu and raven would be epic

Same, I don't even try to score in the Arena, I just use whatever units I feel like using + bonus unit. I do want a triple L&D Linus though, that'd be great

I made a comment about this a day ago too.

I think one of the problems is that once you make the seal and make it Lvl3, you won't have to worry about it since you can change it to different units whereas having it as an A skill means you have to be selective and have foresight about who you want it on. With duel skills as seals, there won't be need to pull for fodder: which is one of the reasons why IS made them for. From a business perspective, I don't think it'd be smart to turn them into seals but from a consumer perspective, I think it'd help out with the armored-dominated arena.

Yep, that's completely true, I was talking based on a player's view. We all know how much IS loves their whales >< it's just a nice idea (that will probably never come true oof)

To answer the OP/original question, yes, it's a one possible route they could go to release duel skills for every color/move combination, because as of now the duel skills are only found on characters from the story, and at most there's red cavalry or armor (Hrid being a sword unit based on his image) and blue cavalry (Bruno) unreleased.

The system I dream they'll implement for arena is 1) the removal of the 1+ seasonal hero doubling the team's score, 2) the removal of bonus stats for seasonal heroes, and, importantly, 3) the seasonal system working by having a free and configurable "duel configuration" for the seasonal heroes.

The way #3 would work is that in the arena pane, the player could choose a configuration for each of the seasonal heroes. The duel configuration grants the scoring effect of the duel skills, but the player could choose the stat that is raised for ALL copies of a unit (all OG Odin on the player's team, for instance, if it is a seasonal unit) - instead of HP+5, one could choose Atk+3, Spd+3, Def+3, or Res+3.

This would allow seasonal units to play with their optimal builds (or super-optimal builds) in their season without compromising scoring, so if a unit is premised on having exactly 40 HP and going into Brazen+Desperation range after an ardent sacrifice, it can use that set in Arena.

It'd also allow units with bst greater than 170 to be removed from seasonal rotation without harming their arena value.
