Hmm, it really depends on my mood. if it's a gamemode where the music is awakening, fates or echoes related. Like this TT where there was alot of Echoes, awakening and fates music sprinkled in, I would listen to the game. On arena runs though, I for sure listen to music or a podcast or something. Lest I get bored XD

I don’t listen to music while playing. It throws my concentration off and the music in game is pretty good except for the enemy and battle music.

Yep! Almost all the time, actually. For Chain Challenges and Arena, i usually keep animations, voice clips, and sound effects on, with the in game music off, then put on some tryhard fight music (pretty much anything from the Blazblue series lol). For everything else, i just mute the game entirely and put on something more relaxing like some area music from Xenoblade 1

It depends. I usually have my device muted especially in public so I don't disturb others. I do like tuning in to a video/livestream or some VG music when I play.

Probably not normal, but I'm part of a youth symphony, and every year at our orchestra camp, our conductor gives us a listening list to work through during the next year. I'm just listening to those classical songs while grinding Forging Bonds right now.

I'm a pianist but I've been to an orchestra summer program in Washington State. I was blessed to have the opportunity to play the Petrushka piano part one year. Out of curiosity, what instrument do you play and what kind of repertoire is your orchestra working on?

Most of the time I play without animations or music. I play a lot better this way. If it's something relatively easy like low levels of training tower or my tempest trials team is good, I might take the music.

I usually listen to casual Let's Plays so I don't have to pay attention to the screen or video game OSTs.
