Do you guys think IS should demote some of the 5* locked units?

Because of being terrible pitybreakers with nothing to show? Say your list. Here's mine. Mostly pre-Ayra

Red: Leo, Saber, Gray, Ike, Ryoma, Eldigan, Karel, and Luke
Blue: Hinoka, Nephenee, Linde, and blue Olwen,
Green: Julia and Minerva.
Colorless: Mist, Faye, and Jaffar

Red:

I thought of Ike and Ryoma because they're overshadowed by their legendary versions.

The rest just either have terrible bases or nothing for inheritance.

Blue:

No reason to use blue Olwen when L'arachel in my opinion plays her Blade set better and Rein running Dire thunder better (and available at 3-4*)

Linde has nothing for skill inheritance but just 3 weapon choices.

Hinoka has nothing but Hone Fliers. Even with Hinoka's Spear, she's outclassed by other blue fliers.

Nephenee has a good base kit but her statline is comparable to other physical bulky blues. Also competition here.

Green:

Though this is not a lot I hate to see myself pitybroken by these two, even though I never got Minerva.

Julia has nothing for skill inheritance. We also have Deirdre who despite a less optimized statline, she has a better base kit usable for low investment.

Minerva has nothing either. Just Life and Death fodder and we have Sothe for that.

Colorless:

Mist. Nothing really at all, asides from being skill fodder.
Faye. No reason to keep Firesweep Bow 5* locked.
Jaffar. Same with Minerva.

Ike and Ryoma have DC weapons and Nephenee has Wrath which is a very premium skill (people spent money to get that), those character are very unlikely to get demoted to 4*.
If Leo gets demoted he could have QR3 at 4* since it's a skill that is missing in the 4* pool for no reason when we have things like L&D and Atk tactic.

Other demotion could be:
- Y!Tiki, we already have A!Tiki in the 3*/4* pool, why would Y!Tiki be locked to 5* while she doesn't have good skills for inheritance and have just a slightly better statline
- Jenny, while she is strong there is not much reason to keep her at 5* since WS can be obtained throught refine, maybe make that WF is unlocked at 5*

So what if Ike and Ryoma have DC? Their legendary versions also have right? And L!Ike is a free unit so I don't see a reason why you would use regular Ike.

Also demoting them wouldn't be a good thing, since they are not very good as fodder and they will just diluite the pool for other better fodders, like Hinata for Fury, Ares for brazen Atk/def and so on

Heavy blade is exclusive to Ike, there is also no unit in the 4 star pool with a prf weapon or an exclusive skill except Ares aaaand Falchions, or heros that have gotten refined (camilla for example)
Hector is still the only way to get DC, Bike for SB
Ike for HB and Like for WB, CC was a one of given out because virion is useless in both awakening and in Feh... wrath is another thing that was exclusive until like... karla
Also, no unit has a prf DC weapon in the f2p pool except for GHB units

I think that everyone on this list, barring Ike, Ryoma, Nephenee, and Linde, should be demoted. They aren't as broken as some of the other 5-Star locked Heroes in the game and could make some older skills (like Quick Riposte 3 from Leo) more accessible. In particular, Mist, Luke, and Saber really have no business being exclusively in the 5-Star pool.

The four I don't think should be excluded are still better than a majority or the units in the game despite their default kits, or offer a really powerful skill that I can see IS not wanting to demote just yet (in Nephenee's case).

Luke has a pretty exclusive skill in PP, so I don't see him dropping until we get another 5*to replace him lol

Also Valter who has PP3 at 5 stars but still. I don’t see why they couldn’t do the same with Luke.

The point is that there is a finite number of Panic Ploys the player base has access to outside of using Luke for SI.

I imagine we'll get a 5* demotion ~next year's half anniversary when more skills currently exclusive to one 5* unit in the normal pool like Luke's Panic Ploy and Saber's Shield Pulse get added to future 5* kits. I imagine most of these demotions would keep the skill locked behind 5*. This would let them future proof themselves without totally kicking in the availability of these skills.

It might be a more elegant solution to change the current pity rate to a focus pity rate. This would let them build up the 5* pool forever, effectively reducing how potentially broken this change would be by lowering the overall odds of pulling said focus unit in the pool. I imagine it would cause more people to break out their wallets when their pity rate is so high, knowing that an unwanted 5* won't pity break them.

I have been pitybroken 5× by this guy,I always hated leo rather it was fates or heroes.

Who I think should get demoted to 4/3* pool.

Red: Lene, Karel, Grey, Saber, Lucina, Lyn, Luke, Katrina, Leo.

Blue: Hinoka, Shigure, Olwyn, Linde, F!Morgan.

Green: Sonya, Minerva, Amelia, Julia.

Colourless: Faye, Jaffar, Mist.

Yeah, but he needs to be in the 3* pool because he doesn't have great skills and he pity broke me. ( a very good reason )

IS will demote 5* exclusives at some time.
Most likely with 3.0, since it would be a pretty huge change(even bigger than the mass demotion).
I personaly would love that we get 1 demotion per new heroes banner and a couple of high priorities demoted instantly, namely:
Mist to 3-4*, byebye colorless hell(to some extend at least)
Olwen to 3-4*, just a worse Reinhardt
Eldigan to 3-4*, his son is better anyway + another Fury fodder
Sonya to 3-4*, this is far-fetched, since there aren't any real bad green 5* units. Even Julia has her niche.

I think Rhajat needs be demoted other than DD3 there isn’t much that warrents her being a 5 exclusive unit ,her stat spread is also very close to that of ninos who is already in the 3-4* pool

Wouldn't mind Mist being demoted either.

I don’t think normal Azura is worthy of being 5 star locked. Maybe Ninian can stay since she is a dragon, but even then she has really low atk. I also think Lene should’ve been demoted from Genealogy instead of Ares, but even then she does come with a more useful weapon than Azura. I have every dancer/singer myself and I still believe that having only one dancer be available below 5 stars is incredibly rude to f2p players.

Any reason no skill inheritance value is a cause for demotion? I for one would love wrath and a swift sparrow to be more accessible. Fury-Desperation is boring.

Y'all mentioning Ryoma, Hinoka and other heroes but forget that 5* Normal Tikis and Corrins exist? Demote these older units already.

Corrin is demoted already. i just pulled a male 4* the other day.

I would honestly want Elise to be demoted.

I’m gonna say Katarina for sure. We already have the other owl tomes in the 3* & 4* pools so why keep Rauorowl exclusive to 5*? As for her two other skills, maybe she could be the first to have Swift Sparrow at 4*. Atk Ploy could be 5*. I would also say Rhajat because she has a wolf tome, which is exclusive to her and F Robin who is a Grand Hero. DD could be a 5* skill which Savage Blow be a 4* skill
