Do you guys think Dragalia will feature powercreep as bad as FEH?
Every time someone mentions powercreep as a method to keep the game fresh and interesting I want to slap the living shit out of them considering games like FGO has little to nothing.
Answers
Because FGO is not a game ?
Just kidding. Or not. Not in fact.
If your broken unit in a non-game fanservice app already exists at release, with very very low chances to pull it, there will be no powercreep. You have already a dumb captive audience to milk at will, which perfectly describes the Fate fans. On the other end, if you release a gacha based real strategy game, introduce new mechanics all the time, some units or powers will become weak, and new stuff will become stronger. The powercreep. But as long as it is balanced and not too expensive, it is ok. And, daily remember : half of mobile games are not games but pseudo interactive scams. This is the difference between apps like FEH or FLG, and FGO.

Heroes' powercreep honestly isn't as bad as most people think, if only for the fact that it's very inconsistent. Sometimes we'll have powercreep once a week for a few weeks. Other times we'll get it months apart.
Armors have been busted since all the way back in December last year, with only a couple other unique skills added since.
Stat caps have also had little variation:
Atk: 40, Effie. Available since release
Speed: 40, Mia. Available since November last year. Previously Lon'qu, available since release.
Def: 40, V!Hector, available since February this year. Previously Draug, available since release.
Res: 38, Flora, available since 3 weeks ago. Previously, a bad meme, uh, I mean Wrys, available since release.

Before Legendary Tiki, at 180:
Winter Lissa was the last occurrence of BST powercreep: 175 total, release date Dec. 18, last year.
Before her was Amelia: 174, August 15, last year
Even before that, Sheena, 169, available from release.
Total difference of 11 points
Of non-Armors, YS!Tiki, July 10, '18, 168 Total
Before that, Myrrh, Jan. 25, '18, 167 Total
Even before that, Fjorm, Nov. 28, '18, 164 Total
Finally Nowi, available from release, 163 Total
Total difference of 5 points for all non-Armors
Three to Four occurrences within a year in a half isn't all too bad in the long run.

Examples
The skill powercreep:
Brazens are blatant powercreep. I can't argue that.
Fighter skills are powercreep, but I'm chalking them up to the fact that IS loves to baby Armors.
The weapon powercreep:
Prf weapons:
- They have always been broken due to their uniqueness. They're meant to be special.
- Legendary Heroes are meant to be even more special.
- Seasonals are meant to be milked due to their limited availbility so they get some fancy stuff to entice the player
- Brave Heroes are supposed to be busted. They don't count
- Weapons like Slaying and Keen are available through refines, and therefore not entirely locked
- Unique refinements for units have been provided to help alleviate the effects of powercreep
I'm not saying Heroes doesn't have any powercreep. It's just not nearly as bad as people think. Anytime anything that's sliiightly better than something already in the game, people automatically jump onto an "absolutely fucking busted, destroyer of previous unit usefulness" bandwagon.

So basically there is powercreep in every aspect of the game: units, skills, and weapons with obvious preference to a certain type of exclusive units (due to how the competitive aspect of the game works) with no sign of stopping, rather following and steady albeit slow increase in time. Correct me if my conclusion, based on your points, is wrong.
Also:
"- Brave Heroes are supposed to be busted. They don't count"
is really really bad, please dont use that kind of argument in the future

Powercreep is inevitable in games like these. Compared to other games, though, Heroes' powercreep is relatively tame. I'm not saying that it isn't there, though. The thing with powercreep is that if it doesn't happen, things will get stale if all they do is make lateral moves. But at Heroes' current rate, there is little cause for concern. When we start seeing drastic powercreep, like seeing it happen literally every week, then maybe we should start worrying. The perception of Heroes' powercreep sometimes gets blown out of proportion.
Regarding the Brave Heroes comment, I admit that it was poorly worded. Obviously they are powercreep, but because they are supposed to be super special premium units, the potential for powercreep was expected. Last year's Brave Heroes were very anti-meta (for its time). This year's were no different.

Also, I hadn't paid much attention to the comparison to F/GO, but I feel compelled to put my two cents in. F/GO has its story and interesting characters as its main selling point, but honestly, its gameplay is really stale. Fixed stats, fixed skills, fixed NPs. The only variation is Mystic Codes, CEs and team comps. And don't get me started on its rates. Those team comps aren't changing anytime soon unless the RNG decides to favor the player for once. I'm not going to say Heroes' summoning/rates are perfect, but they're a lot more generous than F/GO. If NA players think the game's hard now, wait until we get the Break system. That hard as hell boss just got even more difficult.
