Do 2 +10 Eir give more bonus lift than 1 +10 Eir and an unmerged Eir?

I assume the answer is yes, but I want to ask to be safe.

Also, what's your opinion on the new scoring system? I think Eir makes AR a bit casualized: I made a stupid mistake in using Smite thinking I had Reposition. Ended up losing 4/5 units, but I still got 80 Aether, and I'm almost top 1k in tier 18.
