Distant Counter vs Steady/Warding Breath on Seliph

So, I'm currently building up a Seliph, and I wanted to to know if Distant Counter or Steady/Warding Breath would be a better option. As far as I know, Distant Counter would probably be more suited to take on mages, while on of the Breaths would probably benefit his ability to take on melee reds/greens. As my team already has a solid mage counter in Micaiah, I thought that one of the Breaths would probably better, but I still wanted to hear other people's thoughts on the matter.

Given that he gets Divine Tyrfing, designed to help him withstand mages, Distant Counter is the way to go. I gave it to his daddy, and now he's one of my top tier arena core characters. (That and I got extreme luck to max merge him.)

Steady/Warding Breath is also superb when coupled with Deflect Magic 3 seal. It lets him easily charge even skills like Aether and become exceptionally difficult to kill. imo, S/W Breath is better for longevity and tanking while Dc gives him a stronger enemy phase for mage killing.
