Distant Counter A-slot and Quick Riposte

Hi! I have a Hector (LA) with Distant Counter, and I've been looking in to how to strengthen him. I've seen people suggest using Quick Riposte, but I'm not sure I understand what the difference is between Distant Counter and QR. Do they not perform the same action? I'm very new to all of this, so I hope I don't sound like an idiot :)

distant counter allows you to counter attack when hit from any range.

quick riposte allows you to counter attack twice, doesnt allow you to counter attack ranged enemies though.

Meaning: together they allow you to counter attack twice whenever you are attacked, from any range.

Nice, thank you very much! Would you recommend Vantage over QR on a Hector?

Unless he can one-hit KO them, QR is the better B skill. If Hector can tank a hit he will hit them twice no matter what. Vantage is good if your Hector is against a hero who can be killed in one shot like mages. QR is better against melee heroes.

Why not use the QR SS and Vantage B-Slot, it is Hector's " Original Combo".

DC is an A slot

QR3 is a B slot

DC allows you to counter attack from any distance

QR3 allows you to follow up the counterattack with another guaranteed counterattack if you are within the >70% health threshold
