Did I miss something? What's this about a support system?

I went to work for the evening and I come back seeing everyone talking about a support system? Did I miss anything important?

For me (german) it just says Support System (in German), but doesn't explain anything. :/

Btw: whats that stat poping up after battles oder the heads of the units? Just SP? If so, how do half points work?

There's a common complaint about how the friends list does nothing except for the 3rd support in voting gauntlet. It may be useful for newer players to help with harder levels for them
