Did Hector lose his throne?

I always said that making Surtr playable would one of the worst decisions that IS will ever make, and i was correct. If you're within 2 spaces of this dude then you're pretty much dead. If you remember from the story, Surtr had super good stats in everything except for speed which doesn't even matter since he's armored. What's even worse is that he's a green unit on a 2 person banner, meaning you have a super good chance of pulling him even from a free summon. There is nothing good about this situation. Period.

Nah I don't think so. They're used for different things. Hector negates doubles and can double back. Surtr prefers to not be doubled at all since he'll probably get nuked. He doesn't have DC in his basekit and he relies on being within a certain number of spaces before being in combat or he'll start of in trouble and overwhelmed.

I'll say that Grima, L!Hector and Surtr are on different territories. Hector is a neutralizing mixed phase (BF/QR), Grima is pure Offense and can blow down anybody. Whilst Surtr is the bold defense that wants to be near his enemies.

I mean, Surtr's gonna be good no matter what, but he has a different playstyle compared to Hector.

Surtr seems to require an Enemy Phase and then the Player Phase immediately following (If he doesn't one shot the enemy attacking him.). While the Hectors almost always aim to kill his foes in one single enemy phase. In the hands of a player, it's debatable one which is better, but in the hands of the AI, it'll be far worse I feel, as he can be attack by Arvis, for example, and he can be retreated by an ally.

Again, Surtr will be good regardless, but it depends on playstyle on which is better.

Most armors do that anyway they just have to wait to get hit first.

But for real everything on him is broken.
