Desperation + Brash Assault, Why?

Doesn't the function of desperation automatically cover brash assault? I mean (correct me if I'm wrong but) isn't desperation defined as "any follow-ups occur automatically if hp is below 75%" and brash assault as "if enemy can counter and unit below 50% follow-up occurs immediately"?

So why do people pair desperation with brash assault, don't they do the same thing pretty much? Per say if you have a high-speed unit like Hana wouldn't desperation play the role of brash assault with fewer requirements to meet?

If the question isn't clear just comment. Thanks a lot!

Desperation - Changes the priority of the second attack so it occurs immediately after the first.
Brash Assualt - Allows you to make a second attack even if you're slower provided the conditions are met.

Desperation means IF you will be attacking twice and you are within threshold, follow up occurs immediately.

Brash assault means you WILL attack twice regardless of speed if you are within the health threshold and enemy can counter attack.

Desperation is speed dependent. Brash assault patches that up a bit.

Desperation allows a follow-up attack (if one exists) to be performed immediately after the initial attack like a Brave weapon. If the unit is not faster and can’t outspeed their opponent, a follow-up attack will not happen like usual and Desperation will do nothing.
The order of combat would be; user attack 1 > user attack 2 > enemy attack 1 when Desperation is active.

Brash Assault guarantees a follow-up attack always occurs, regardless of the user’s speed, when they are below 50% HP. This means the user basically has QR on both phases.

The combo works so that Brash Assault will always allow the user to attack twice (or four times on initiation with Brave weapons) when under 50% HP and Desperation allows the user to perform both hits before the enemy can attack.

Brash assault is for slow units that can’t counter normally. It lets them strike twice even if they have lower speed. They get hit in between their first and second hit, though. Also, desperation is only for units that can actually double. It lets you strike twice without receiving a hit in between. So, with brash assault + desperation, slow units can attack twice in a row, and even quad if they have a brave weapon.

It’s gimmicky, but if high atk heroes manage to strike 4 times, they will surely kill a large part of the roster.

It is a little tricky to use since to fully take advantage, you hope the hero doesnt die too easily. If we ever get vantage or desperation seal, it would be awesome....

Desperation + vantage combo on a distant counter hero is wow.

Didn't know people thought desperation automatically gave a double... That explains a LOT. I've seen so many desperation Hectors...
