Deflect seals

Is anyone else bothered by how they work? Their description implies that they work like B!Ike's Urvan or Sigurd's crusaders ward, but NOPE! If your unit counter attacks too bad. No damage reduction for you. The inconsistency on IS' part bugs the hell out of me. Anyways, rant over. Curious what you all think about this.

Urvan and Crusader's Ward are no different. If you counterattack, they will not activate. That's why DC is not especially good on B.Ike or Sigurd.

As seeker said, Urvan and Crusader's ward work the same way as deflect seals, also i don't think that descriptions on the skills are inconsistent or written in a misleading way, they just tried to be as clear as possible while trying to not make them too long.
If you read the effects carefully word by word you can't go wrong, like in the deflects case where it sais "If unit receives consecutive attacks"

Ehm, that's not how it is. They are exactly the same effect you know.

The only way around this is to use Vantage alongside one if these seals or weapons. That way the enemy's attacks are consecutive.
