Defiant res or warding blow

I'm trying to make Lukas more usable, meanwhile his speed is a disadvantage he can survive thanks to his Def so I will try to fix his Res. I was thinking about using either defiant res or warding blow but I'm not sure.

Any suggestion?

I would do Defiant Res as Warding Blow only initiates when he attacks first. Most mages can't counterattack unless they have close counter so it'd be useless I think.

I wouldn't go with either, the best way to deal with magic damage or any form of damage is to not get hit. Use another unit that can counter certain mages as Lukas is specialized in being a (great) physical wall. His weapon Killer Lance, alongside his Skill A passive, are a recipe for destruction when used alongside Ignis/Bonfire.

Although if you insist on going the resistance route, I'd say slap on fury or Defiant resistance but I highly doubt he'll be able to tank a magic hit(s) with only 50% HP.
