Defense Team Rate & Help
So I asked about defense team help semi-recently, and this theory team is my potential plan to put my new knowledge to use. Special thanks to Yami Gianor for giving some really great thoughts and inspiring some of the build work on this team; I think it seems pretty neat so far. I don't have a fourth member yet, so I'd appreciate suggestions.
Soleil (Lvl40+0) (+Spd -Def)
Brave Sword+
Reposition
Miracle
Death Blow 3
Seal Res 3
Spur Atk 3
Heavy Blade 3
--------------
Nowi (Lvl40+1) (+Def -Res)
Lightning Breath+ (Def)
Rally Def/Res
Steady Breath
Guard 3
Infantry Pulse 3
Quick Riposte 3
--------------
Soren (Lvl40+0) (+Res -Hp)
Wind's Brand (+Eff)
Draw Back
Glimmer
Fury 3
Wings of Mercy 3
Atk Ploy 3
Quickened Pulse
--------------
Essentially, my evil scheme is that Soleil is lured in and charges up Miracle with her two hits thanks to the Infantry Pulse from Nowi. It's extra easy for her to activate Heavy Blade, thanks to Soren debuffing attack stats with Wind's Brand and Atk Ploy 3. Then, she survives whatever the counterattack is thanks to Miracle, and is stuck in front of the enemy at low health. Soren then uses Wings of Mercy to fly over to Soleil, and gets a +2 boost to all stats thanks to the refinement from Wind's Brand. He already has Glimmer charged up because of Quickened Pulse and Infantry Pulse. Soleil's Seal Res means that the target she attacked will already be severely debuffed, and her Spur Attack means she'll be boosting the adjacent Soren even more. Essentially, Soren's attack will do devastating damage. This is because most players would lure in Soleil using a Blue Unit, who will probably be demolished by this fatal combo. Nowi exists for Infantry Pulse and to clean up everything afterwards.
For the final member, I was thinking maybe either my +Res -Spd NY Azura for Dancing, or perhaps my +Res -Def Myrrh for Guidance Support and Hone Dragons buffing. I'm not really sure yet. There's two main problems I see with the team; if Soleil attacks someone with Quick Riposte, they'll probably just KO straight through Miracle thanks to the two hits. But hopefully that won't happen too often, which'll give me enough arena defense wins. Second... I don't have a lot of the feathers that I'd need for this. I already have the Nowi built, but in total I'd need....
20,000 for Brave Sword+, 20,000 for Death Blow 3, 2,000 for Fury 3, 20,000 for Wings of Mercy 3, and 20,000 for Atk Ploy 3. A grand total of 82,000 feathers, unless I get some 5* units or good 4* fodder soon.
Is this worth building? I feel like it'd be great, but I'd love feedback.

It does look intriguing. But I have some concerns. One thing I would be concerned about is that the AI controlling your team is extremely easy to manipulate, and they could easily be picked off one by one. Another issue that is probably more relevant here is that unless your fourth member pushes your defensive weight significantly higher, your team will score too low to be regularly seen by higher arena tiers, where the most active players are. And your fourth member should be the arena bonus unit to maximize your scoring potential.
In short, I’ve noticed that gimmicky defense teams are really good at securing defense wins early and often. Something as simple as running a skill you don’t see on a unit often, if at all, that can throw your opponent off can net a critical defensive victory.

A gimmicky team is one that runs totally unorthodox but effective builds that oddly work well together. If you run a defense team that looks like it is held together with duck tape, it probably won’t fare well. The key is finding a way to take 4 units (they don’t even have to be high tier) and find a way to be so weird with it that the meta isn’t really ready for you. That’s what I did with my core. My weird defense team has not had less than 3 defends since the start of December. Lol

Well, first: A good core defensive team works best with a defensive setup. I wouldn't use a sword unit as a damage dealer, since many usual meta units will deal with it rather easily (Reinhardt, Lyn, Nowi). The miracle might work, but think about it: when you play the arena, do you send your units to take on the enemy units on one-on-one? Even if the miracle kicks, its likely for Soleil to die immediatly by another unit. I would also recommend to remove reposition of any defensive unit- it's pretty much the best field tool, but thats when you're piloting it- it can and will allow the AI to screw your units (plus you want your Soleil to attack, not to act as a reposition shield)
Nowi seems quite good. Just give her Vantage instead of Guard. That by itself is like half a win each week. You could give her drawback instead of rally def/res, too.
I've never used Soren, so I can't really give any advice on him, but I would recommend using a dancer in your core instead of whoever you find less useful between he and Soleil. A dancer with WoM can make a lot of difference (in fact it could complement your strategy quite nicely)
The 4th team member should be the best bonus unit in your roster.
Cheers!
