So I randomly pulled my first Tana and she has pretty bad IVs for a player-phase build. Thanks to her Defense superboon and her Vidofnir, she can actually make use of her Defensive stat, passable Speed and high-ish Attack.
I don't care about an offensive build as that would require a lot of resources, and I like the gimmick of having a defensive Flier. Does anyone have a good idea for some skills to build Tana with? I have Brazen ATK/DEF fodder and no 5* only skills like Steady Breath or Distant Counter.
they might be giving vidofnir a refine to compensate for the release of safeguard so dont put any expensive skills on her until we know what it is at least

banduh makes a good point, I too would recommend against investing heavily in case a refinement comes and if you're unsure about the IVs.
I do make an extreme case myself as I still haven't given my +Res -HP Tana even a B skill due massive indecisiveness - I almost gave her Close Defense on A but ended up having Lene inherit it. QR would seem obvious but I've only one Dorcas and too few feathers to start promoting Subakis for it and QR2 just feels worse even while it isn't! So she's in semi-limbo as for now.
I wouldn't call those "bad" IVs at all. Sure it's regrettable that she has a -Spd bane since she is going to get doubled more but overall she can be an absolute beast defensively. You mentioned that you don't have any of the 5 star locked skills for her a slot, that's fine. Many of of the budget option can work just as well. Ones like Fury or the Brazen skill you said you do have are good options too. For her B slot you are going to have to weigh whether you want a little more sustainability or more offensive punch from her, Renewal and Quick Riposte and the usual choices here. C slot as in most cases is up to you. She absolutely flourishes on flier teams so it's something to keep in mind. This is what my +Def one turned out like.
It's hard for her to take two combats even with Vidofnir so wouldn't go with a Brazen. It's really not a great weapon for her, she'd do better with a variety of other inheritable lances since the speed refine takes her from 35 to 38 speed regardless of what phase you want to use her in.
For a budget enemy phase build just add Reposition and Quick Riposte 2 in the B slot. Guidance makes her a great teammate for armors or Sanaki. For a seal you could run Iote's, Close Defense, Speed+3, or Quick Riposte.
I've got a -spd +Atk but can't make her function at all. I put defensive stance for A but it just don't get her there. Even with +13 def in combat the lack of speed make her go to waste. It's the same with my -spd Mia, no matter how you put it she doesn't get there. Unfortunately because I love Tana and insist in using her untill today.
