-Def or -Res on L!Robin?

Both are +Spd, I'll be using her on a team as a mixed-phase unit with Fury 3, Vantage or Desperation, Res Smoke and Drive Defense 3. She's paired with M!Grima who will have Res Tactic 3. I'm going to merge so as to get better arena scores so she'll be at +2.

Do I go with -Res so that her defenses are more even when dueling, 34/31 (including the tactic) or do I go with capitalizing more on her resistance, giving 30/34. I already have a magic counter in a 44 resistance Genny, so she isn't really going to be my tank in this lineup.

I think that it might be better to go with the -Res bane and focus on making her a more physical tank than a mixed one, unless your team lacks a Dragon check.

I don't know about lowering her Def just so that her Def/Res are about even. 26 Def / 25 Res un-merged and un-buffed aren't very good if you want to make her a mixed tank. Plus, that lowers the damage output of her default Bonfire. You also mention that you have a Res tank in the form of Genny. If you think that she does an adequate job by herself, then you could probably get away with -Res.

One thing to note is that she will not be able to tank dragons well with the -Res, and Genny won't be helping you there due to how the refined Breath weapons work. If you don't have a good Dragon check on your team (either a melee unit with high Res or a ranged unit with good mixed bulk with Close Counter), then L!Robin might be better off with the -Def, though 25 Res still isn't very good at checking Dragons.
