+Def -Atk Minerva. Oof

Minerva is one of my fav fliers in the series and I was so excited to pull her from my free summon... only to learn that of course, she's -atk ;-;
should I still use her? an attack seal and weapon refined Hauteclere could maybe patch it up? or just use her for LnD fodder? I don't feel right sacrificing her tho...

Not a problem at all. Minerva rely mostly on her active skill to kill her target especially with her legendary weapon and her already poor atk stat. With def +, bonefire should one shot a lot of unit especially if you use fury or armored blow. Fortress may even be a good choice if you use her as a wall she can reach stellar def with it.

Also her high speed and hybrid stat make her a far better unit on enemy phase than player phase. Giving her speed seal should be the best choice.

If you want to duel better, you can also go to the classic triangle adept 3, Axe breaker path. Like that she will be able to kill both blue and green unit with no problem, while keeping her tanking power.

With poor atk, you can also take threaten def to help her finishes off target. Threaten Speed or threaten atk should be better though.

her attack isn't poor generally, unless its -atk. but I'm thinking of just going the Fury route and speed seal

31 atk is not good. It's workable though (compare to clair/caeda base atk) but it's amough the lowest for axe unit. Look in the gamepress chart. She is in the top 10 lowest atk for axe unit.
