I just got a hinoka while trying for morgan ( 4.5% btw ) and I was wondering if Death Blow or Life and Death would be better for her. She'll be able to reach 34 speed with L&D and with flier buffs, that'll be 40. But with Death Blow, she can reach 60 Atk on initiation without any other buffs. I know this is the perfect IV for Brave Lance, but i plan on giving her hinoka's spear instead. So, which would be better?
If you want to just her brave lance then just focus on her attack, give her deathblow, with a -spd bane she won't be quading many units(Well it's just IMO since most quad builds typically needs +spd)
But IMO Hinoka works best as support unit(especially since her weapon refine) so if you like her that much then give her the weapon refine on her personal weapon and make her a movement base support unit.
Death Blow and Brave Lance are by far the easiest way for you to go.
With Hinoka's Spear I'd go for LnD instaed. Not that 34-38 (Spear) Spd are great, but they should have more influence than raw attack. On Flier Emblem at least.
Now for mixed Emblem you could really go for Death Blow and Spear. 70 Atk is considerable. And there is no Spd Tactics anyway (so far).
I use hinoka with that iv, and i found if you want to use hinoka lance LnD is the better choice, she still could double most unit without hone flier, and with hone flier she could double almost every unit with more than 60 atk. And you should use atk tactic on hinoka partner if it's not a flier.
