DC Ayra logic?

Is there a particular reason DC Ayra is so popular? She can barely take a magic hit, even if she does manage to live. And from what I can tell, about 90% Arena ranged threats happen to be magic-based (and the only two in Lyn and Jakob, you can't counter or kill you either way)...

The only thing I can come up with is a mix of Arena scoring and good oneshot potential with stuff like R.Astra + Wrath Slaying, but then she's sacrificing insane Player Phase for just being able to counter at range once.
