dancers AI's exploit

So recently on my usual daily aether raids chores, I've been encountering several teams that have Y!azura in it. Here's the strange part, usually I can easily bait dancers (ranged or melee) to attack me first so that team would be less annoying (dancers are annoying) but Y!azura never took the bait and let the rest of the members with color advantages to moving closer and then she dances to gave them extra movement and kill one of my team members. Y!azura AI seems kinda different from other dancers.

Has this also happened to you guys? or is it just me.

I think it matters on the position of their team (Which is something you CAN'T see on AR) as well as how the battle against you and the dancer goes.

If a dancer (Or any unit with a support skill) is unable to do enough damage (I think it's low single digits, so if they're able to do 9 damage they SHOULD attack you... but I can't speak 100% sure on this) they will prioritize to not attack that unit unless impossible. So their movement priority is non-existent in a dancer's case until they are able to dance. Obviously if they cannot dance on anyone in range they'll be forced to attack.

It's odd that you're having more trouble with a physical dancer than a ranged. Generally it's the other way around. That all being said though, this might be untrue. The AI I know best would be the Arena's, but this might have a different AI all together.

are enemies attack priority (dancers included) based on the lowest speed stats, def stats, range, or else? sorry for the silly question, I just want to make sure.

Speed is never apart of their priority. Normally it's based on what slot in the team that they're in (So the unit in the most left spot goes last while the person in the right slot goes first (?) so long as they're all the same range). Melee units SHOULD go before Ranged units, but if a unit has an assist their priority pushed back. So a Melee unit with an assist skill like Rally Attack goes after a Ranged unit without one (I think...).

Heads up: If a dancer/singer does less than 5 damage, they will NOT attack unless that is their only option.

Report

It's a fixed number for all units that have an Assist that is either Rally or Dance/Sing. So as long as you throw a unit up that can take a little bit of damage you should be fine. Otherwise, try and predict what unit will get danced.

so, this is the reason why lots of people unequip weapon from their healer and dancer in their arena team. thanks for the answer, much appreciated.

From what I've noticed at least, the priorities over attacking are healing and rally skills. So if in a scenario where the dancer would be the only one in range to attack you, her allies with attempt to rally her beforehand. So depending on where the user of the rally moves, they may now be in range to attack you as well, so the attack priority will now change causing the dancer to dance for the rallier and have them attack you instead.

They won't heal if they can attack and do more than 5 damage. Same with Rally. If a unit not in range rallies a dancer however, the dancer can refresh the unit and that unit can very well kill you (Looking at you Rein...)
