Decided to buy the $27 orb pack. I have to say I was very lucky, but I'm still a little diaappointed. I only pulled greens and blues.
I got 5*'s of:
Sonya (dupe to feed my +res/-hp)
Lukas (+atk/-hp)
Azura (+def/-spd)
Brave Ike (+res/-atk)
I know brave Ike is good regardless, but I could use a pat on the back and a little reassurance. I suppose after getting +atk regular Ike a couple weeks ago, it evens out. And beaides, it's not like brave Ike is running heavy blade.
Also, I got my first Azura and even with crappy IVs, she's still good. And Lukas has always looked interesting to me, so now is my opportunity.
But dang, - atk Ike. :-(
Damn sorry about that Ike but at least you got that Azura(actually got a Ninian with the same IVs XD) and that Lukas is looking clean I wish I got one already. Definitely an under looked character. Don't know if this will make you feel any better but a while back I bought the $40 orb pack and I didn't get a SINGLE five star. It was a pretty shitty day honestly
Man, Lukas is great. I got a 4 star +ATK Lukas, and then later promoted a +Def -SPD Lukas who fit my build better. The build I use is Defiant Def and Seal Attack, and he has 1v1'd a Hector before, though that took a ranged unit to waste his bonfire. He's pretty much invincible and hits like a jet plane with Ignis, and most emerald axe users can't kill him before he crushes them with his massive damage, especially if he procs Defiant Defense along with it. Also, the build is pretty cheap.
Those are some pretty good units, man! And don't worry, Brave Ike is plenty strong anyways. I've been able to use him in the voting gauntlet (I don't have him, *cries*) but he's even tanked some red units.
I have a 4* Lukas with those same IVs (+def/-spd). I've been meaning to get around to him for a while, I just have been getting a lot of really good lance users lately. So maybe it's time to dust off that 4* version. Heck, I have plenty of feathers. I definitely feel Ignis would be insane on him. It also gives me the opportunity to put Steady Breath on him if I get a second Brave Ike. Thanks for the input!
Also, is your username a reference to Calvin and Hobbes? I can only think of Calvin screaming Kablooie as Spaceman Spiff (which now explains the SS part). Makes too much sense for it to not be right.
I got a -Atk/+Res Brave Ike too! It's probably one of his worst natures, but I think he's still really good regardless. If you run Bonfire and Steady Breath, Bonfire will be fully charged after one hit from an enemy and so you'll still be doing a lot of damage, even with minus attack. Resistance also helps in dealing with Reinhardt and speedy mages in general.
