Cormag idea

When do you think he'll be in the game? I was thinking about him and I thought of a possible build
Cormag- sword flier
hp:40 atk:35, spd:34, def:36, res:19 BST:164
Weapon:Wrymslayer+(14 mt)
Effective against fliers and dragons
Special:Luna
A:Iote's Shield
B:Tanvity(fliers only)
If there are no allies within 2 spaces, unit gets +3 to atk, spd, def, res
C: Threaten atk 3
I gave him a high def stat because he was known for being a great tank in SS. His attack is also very good in SS. His hp and spd stat were above average, so he has a respectable spd and hp stat. His res was trash in SS, so he gets the fourth lowest res among fliers.I gave him wyrmslayer because we still don't have any melee weapons effective against fliers, and I gave him wyrmslayer to murder Valter in SS. Wyvern knights had a pierce skill, similar to luna. He has Iote's shield for in SS, he was very good at tanking archers. The tanvity skill from wyvern knights in FE 13. This would allow him to do better without needing to be on a flier team for buffs. This buff can also be inherited to other fliers, for I find they are the worst emblem team at the moment, even with a dancer. Threaten atk is to help him tank blows.

The problem with Wyrmslayer is that it's only effective (at least in the Fire Emblem games) against wyvern units. So Pegasus Knights (Hinoka for example) wouldn't be hit by the extra damage.

As far as when he shows up...that's for Intelligent Systems to decide.

Since when? Even looking on the wiki..

Zanbato
Effective against cavalry units.

The Zanbatō is a sword of myth, forged by blacksmiths to gauge the level of sophistication and skill of their smithing. The swords themselves are not realistically able to utilized in combat, their size making them impossible to wield properly. Though the idea behind the blade, in legend, was to be of a size to rend both the opposing rider and their horse, hence the weapon's ingame effective bonus against horseback units.

Troubadours are cavalry units...

This blade is most notable for possessing the ability to inflict effective damage against mounted horseback units, with the exception of individuals assuming the Troubadour, Valkyrie and Mage Knight classes.

"The Longsword (Japanese: 長柄刀 Longsword) or Zanbato (Japanese: 斬馬刀 Horseslayer Sword) is a sword which was introduced in Fire Emblem. It is designed to fight units fighting on horseback, and is very effective against Cavaliers, Paladins, Troubadours, and similar classes. However, its length makes it very heavy and slows down its wielder significantly."

So... At this point, this is pretty much going no where. lol

Eh, only problem, aside from what was already mentioned, is Tanvity. It's basically promoting people to use him outside of Flier Emblem, but it's kinda worse. Hone + Fortify gives +6 to all stats, while Tanvity gives +3 when you're all alone, leaving you to fend for yourself pretty much, unless you have other fliers on your team that is, for some reason, not buffing him, or if you are running him with cavalry units.

I can see the skill either being tossed aside for something else, or being used only because of nostalgia. The way I'm viewing it, it's not that great of a skill. :l
