Confusion?

So, I played near launch, and until I stopped playing I remember there being an orb reward after VGs, is it still there, did IS remove it, or is my game just messed up?
Like, I was looking forward to those free orbs

I think we only had that on the first two VGs if I remember it correctly.

There was definitely an orb reward on battle of the mages(#3)

Battle at the beach (voting gauntlet held about 7 or so months ago) was the first VG where you didn’t get a participation trophy AKA 20 orbs at the end.

The quests are much better, because they give you more than just orbs and crystals. They give orbs, coins, and stones, the latter 2 being progress based rather than something you can buy, much like the hero feathers you can get from the VG.

Those orbs (and badges and feathers) were removed after like the 4th voting gauntlet and are replaced with the much better quests that give 4 orbs, 45 coins and 10 refining stones every round of a VG, totaling to 12 orbs, 135 coins and 30 stones per gauntlet. (if you win battles of course)

Those orbs were never permanent, they were participation bonuses for getting so many people to do the VG. The orbs you get during quests are permanent additions to the VG event. 4 per round plus dailies.
