Close defense SS...finally

We kind of expected it for quite some time, but I'm still glad that the devs actually included it. It deserves immediate lvl3 upgrade imho, because it might not be as universally usable as distant def, but it makes some melee brawlers incredibly tanky. My Eldigan will finally be able to reach 50 def without buffs while baiting. Do you also have some candidates in your lineups ready for Close def?

Sounds awesome. It also came to my mind immediately, because it reminded me of what I did with Celica when distant def seal was released. Wish I had summer Tiki...FeelsBadMan

Black Knight, Monster Jakob, Summer Tiki, Arden (yeah, why not?), Eldigan, Brave Ike... basically anyone that specializes in physically tanking up close and personal.

Definitely. Also Arden could get close to 60 def with the basic earth boost, CD seal and fortify armor and can afterwards delete whole lifebars with Ignis. Seems good.

Yeah, I also forgot about him. Probably caused by the fact that I still haven't summoned him yet, which totally baffles me. He's definitely one of the best CC seal candidates tho, because dueling him will usually be a suicide.

Was thinking about summer tiki, too but Joshua comes with CC A skill as well. will see how he works with it

Since nobody has mentioned it yet, Tana. She can gain +19 def combined with her weapon and double close def. 44 def at neutral upon being attacked.
And another one would be Tiki (A). Immune to most physical damage except falchion wielders.

I could see Nowi putting this seal to good use. 45 Def with boon, seal, and Fortify Drags, and no merges(And no fury)

My Lukas right now is +3 merged and summoner support has 44 BASE defense and I am planning on giving him the close def 3 sacred seal and getting an extra fjorm for Atk/Def bond 3 so that adds up to 55 def XD but for now he has Earth boost 3 and hp+3
