Close Defense + Distant Defense?

So I'm aware that this will now become a more popular build, since having +6 in both Def and Res when attacked is pretty damn good, but what I'm interested in is if I should go for that on the Black Knight?

I don't have Steady Breath to give him, so atm I'm just using Steady Stance, but if I give him both Close and Distance Defenses it's essentially doubling his current A slot. But at the same time, would maybe doubling down on Distant Defense as a Seal and in the A slot be better? His melee defense is already fairly high, it's his Res that sucks, but with double Distant Defense it'll make him insanely hard to deal with for a non-blue mage.

Which do you guys think would be better for the Black Knight in a more defensive role? I know just taking Fury makes him a dueling monster, but atm he's serving as my wall and I just don't like Fury on my defensive heroes.

It's whatever you prefer, Close Defense+Distant Defense is a mighty combination since as you said it's +6/+6 on both defenses regardless of weapon, while if you go with Distant Defense Skill+ Distant Defense Seal, he'll gain +12/+12 on both defenses against ranged attacks, making even the toughest of blue mages have a hard time one-rounding him assuming he's under Ward Armor/Fortify Armor effects. The one combo allows him to effectively mitigate damage against all weapons while the other combo strengthens his poor resistance against mages while bows and daggers become irrelevant.

If you're about to ask, yes Distant Defense seal and skill stack upon each other.
