Clives useless?

Can't think of any good builds for him he's even worse than Berkut, anyone know a build he could run well?

He is tied with Eldigan and Stahl for highest base HP on a cavalry unit, so he can be used as an offhealer with Renewal and Reciprocal Aid. I'm sure that's useful to someone...

I'm doing some minimal investment with him since he's likely to be a bonus unit in the future. Aside from that he's Hit & Run fodder to me.

But...if you really wanted to use him... I guess he might be able to pull off a decent Brave Lance+ build?

Actually Clive is just SLIGHTLY better than Berkut... yeah there definitely isn't something wrong with IS.

Clive is basically the closest you can get as a "Blue Xander" but without the innate distant counter of course. His defense could've been rivaled with Xander but no it had to be one point higher than Berkut and Camus. At least his base speed isn't as crippling as berkut's.

Sigh. I wish that they'd given us 5* Berkut rather than 5* Clive. Silver Lance+ is meh when it comes to inheritance but Berkut's Lance+ is a rare treasure! (Still don't understand why this is Berkut's Lance instead of Kriemhild. I think the +4 Res would have made more sense as Clive's Lance.)

That's the one thing I'm still salty about too. Like I despise their decisions and Berkut was a formidable foe in the actual game too, now here he's just an underwhelming hero that got the worst treatment of his life.

Try putting Armored Blow and Bonfire on him to go with Hit and Run. A Brave Lance is optional, but his Silver Lance will do fine. He can deal some damage, take some damage, and get out. Not great, not terrible.

Personally ill use him as hit and run fodder. His spread is so similar to Berkut you could probably just run Berkut's brave lance set on him.

at most he'll be running brave lance and that's that
at least he's more usable than jagen or sully and slightly better than our fallen lord, berkut
