Choosing a Res tank (to pair up with Lukas)

I've decided to build my +Def/-Res Lukas (as he is my favourite character from echoes) as a Def tank so he can take any physical threat as long as they are not ranged (he would get 64 Def when attacked without any merging nor buff yet with double close def). So for his sake I'm currently searching for a good Res Tank in order to check the mages he can't take.

I have three good units with high mage check potential but I can't decide between those three so here they are :

Neko Sakura +Res/-Atk, the -Atk kinda hurts but her weapon allows her to get to 55,5 atk (hoping the game counts that as 56) when against mages, she would be great as she has 37 res (49 when attacked with double distant def) and is colourless while hitting on defense.

Micaiah +Res/-Hp, thanks to her weapon she gets 41 Res (53 when attacked with double distant def) she has 28 speed so with quick riposte she would likely trigger Iceberg in most encounters. Plus she's effective against Cavalry and armoured and gets -30% damage on first hit. Her problem is that she hits on resistance (most mages have a high Res) and is affected by weapon triangle.

Deirdre +Atk/-Spd, she has 35 Res (47 when attacked with double distant def) and 24 Speed so she will trigger Iceberg almost every time, she's green which is a good colour since most good mages aren't red. She's effective against dragons and nullifies buffs. Her problem is that she hits on resistance too and is affected by weapon triangle (but she comes with quick riposte inbuilt).

I'm planning on using a raven adept Boey alongside them to check archers and some player phase oriented unit as the nuke of the team (maybe Sothe or Mae heavilly invested in speed as I really like her and want to make a viable, plus she would get to be with Boey).
I won't be using this team on Arena, I just want to build those characters for fun and non arena challenges because I like them a lot.
So please if anyone has an advice to give me I would gladly take it, I'm not sure who would be the most effective in order to protect my cute cinamon roll baby Lukas from all the evil mages.

has to be Micaiah. the bonus of Thani vs armor or cav is better then the bonus vs magic from sakura.

If you're already using Boey then I think two green tomes is a bit much so I'd discount Deirdre for that reason. Micaiah is very difficult to overlook due to her resistance and tome so is probably the first choice. If you go with Mae as the player phase unit, however, enemy mages may be an issue so I think Sakura would compliment her best.

On a side note, I hope Mae gets a new weapon at some point so she can use her big, hurty lightning.

Running Deirdre is a bad idea since you already have TA Boey so maybe it depends on your nuke? If you want to use Sothe as the nuke, go with Micaiah, if Mae, then Neko Sakura? However, maybe you should find a red-coloured Player Phase unit instead, to check green units, in which case, I'd say pick Neko Sakura as your Res tank

Personally, I think Deirdre would go best with Lukas, as Lukas might at least have a chance against Red mages due to his color and Deirdre can check Green and Blue the best for him. I would actually recommend Felicia, but since you said you favor these units specifically, among these Deidre would be my pick. Also, the only things Lukas will ever lose to in mellee combat is dragons, so that makes Deirdre double useful.

As the others said, You might have to pick a different third member instead of Boey then, but I believe it's fine since Lukas' coverage is so insanely high. He won't have any problems tanking Bow hits either, if you gave him steady breath he can blast them with Ignus in your turn - just an idea. Heck, you might even just use all three to have ranged checks for almost every occurence, seriously, don't worry about Mellee, Lukas is a monster in close combat.
