Cherche question

I've seen three convincing uses of pivot:
- Escaping from the front lines, because if you got hit by a unit with same range and movement as you, you're getting hit again unless one of the two of you dies or some teammate interposes himself/herself or pulls you away. Pivot enables infantry and fliers to move up to four squares if they don't attack afterwards.
- Armours trying to get themselves around
- surprising opponents with your arena defense team because your tank suddenly shoves himself/herself in front of a teammate and they weren't expecting it. If your tank is solid on his/her enemy phase, they might not be able to take out your tank so they need to try to kill your tank on their enemy phase so they need to retreat, which can really mess up their positioning.
Generally, fliers prefer reposition. They are extremely mobile and can move teammates over impassable terrain.
By the way, welcome to the game. People say she's a good f2p unit because she really destroys stuff with brave axe - that enormous atk stat - and she's not 5* exclusive so if you ever summon green she's likely to show up more than once, which also makes easier to find a Cherche with an atk boon.
If you're new, I suggest avoiding inheriting skills off because it's irreversible and you can do it later when you're more comfortable with your knowledge of the game. Same with spending feathers. Orbs are slightly different because "you can do it later" isn't as true. The 5%/3% banner which you could use in the first 7-8 days is super good; some summoning focuses are way better than others and all summoning focuses expire. However, there are very few cases where saving orbs instead of spending them is a terrible decision. Good banners always come, sooner or later, and saving now just means more orbs spent on a better offer.
