Cheaters in Arena?

I started playing this game pretty much when it was launched and I am currently at rank 9 in Arena. Lately, especially this week, I keep on getting match against teams that consist fully of level 40+10 or something close(about once per two-three matches). There is a similar patterns in these possible cheaters too. Most of them are low ranks and their team is mostly ranged units.

It is getting pretty frustrating as these players keep on ruining my 0 death win streak attempts. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

They're not cheaters but they're just a bunch of whales. They constantly spend a hefty amount of money and they either get extremely lucky or they get so unlucky they spend their life-savings on getting the same duped characters.

I won't lie that it's pretty fucking stupid and annoying, I always see nothing but Lucina's and Nino's at 40+10 and then occasionally I would see Klein's at 40+10 and then Cecilia at 40+10.

Like who in the right mind has the damn time to 5* 11 Nino's and then merge em all together? It's the same with Cecilia, these two you can only get at the highest of 4* and they somehow got them to a 5* with +10 on them.

You literally need about 1760+ stones on average to roll 11 of the same 5* characters(maybe a bit less with feathers) and that is only when the character is on bonus multiplier pool of 4 characters. That mean they spend around 3500+ dollars in order to achieve their team. Given how many of these players I am seeing, there is just no way they are whales.

It may be hard to believe but people/whales like that exist. And like you said, hackers/cheaters that do that also exist. If you can't differentiate between the two, remember: "When in doubt, report."

The only hacker I saw recently was an Alfonse with 40+10.

Other than that if anyone had like a Lucina or a Nino 40+10, I wouldn't assume they're hackers but I'll assume they spent way too much money.

Well you can. You get feathers by sending units home. You get units by summoning with orbs which cost money.

Weirdly despite having a +2 and a +1 unit I never get matched against those kind of teams. Only once have I seen a +10 and it was Robin. I'm level 9 as well. Maybe because I have two mages and a dancer on my team so my BST is too low to match against them?

It is because a team full of 40+10 comes with extremely high stat total. Usually I see them at around Arena 660 +points. I am currently using an all infantry units team all with 175+ stats(so I have high total points) in order to surpass the Ranking points I already got with a 3 infantry unit and 1 ranged unit team.

When I am using the team with the ranged unit, I only see these 40+10 team once in a while.

It means you are really strong in Arena, and going against the whales who are on the top of the food chain.

In April they are taking +Characters into matching consideration so we'll see how it goes.

I completely understand that there are people willing to spend this much money. But what I am trying to say is, from my past experiences with games like this(I live in Asia, there is alot of games that involves rolling for better cards/units), I have never seen this high percentage of "whales", if they even really are.

Also I just saw a news article about Nintendo trying to resolve problem with cheaters that is getting full 40+10, level 99, or 100stats on all stat.

And i cant even pull one, sometimes i hate these gatcha games.

I noticed that if you put Fury on all of your characters, you will run into op teams.

Seems like they match you based on BST at this time.

And yes, usually on the 7th of the chain an op team will appear to break it (I almost lost it but barely got Lucina into Fury 3 Nino's range to kill the annoying, OP lil girl).

And in Arena it is not about simply winning the battle, it is about winning 7 battles in a roll with no death on your team (currently rank 1k something for me)

Yes I do know all this. I literally got my 1 death during the 7th battle which could of put me at 4700 points(Ended up with 4562 at ranking 1000+). This just shows me that if you want to get a rank 1000- you will have to constantly deal with these 40+10 teams which is really absurd.

It's particularly frustrating for me, because I am a perfectionist and I also like having deathless streaks in the arena, and it's been getting increasingly difficult for me to maintain that--it gets so infuriating that if I lose even one unit I will forfeit the match, even if I could've totally won.
Personally I opted to switch out my lv. 40+ Lucina with Fury for a lv. 40 Marth and that worked out really nicely--although my total arena score is lower, I'm satisfied with it nonetheless. Of course, I put Luci back in once that was over, to hopefully screw people over in defense mode, haha.

That is exactly what I do now too. I would just forfeit when I lose an unit.
I also has a team comp that involve using Rebecca(for the bonus) that can get me perfect 7 winning streak quite easily, but it can only get me a max of 4560 points. However, when I switch her out for Anna in order to get better points, I will keep on seeing these level 40+10 teams.

They're not cheaters, just heavy spenders. I'm also in Arena tier 9 but managed to get through in a flawless run without meeting any of these. I did meet about 2 afterwards though, but by that point i was fine with them beating me. But hey, if they spend literally a thousand dollars for that digital team while you didn't, who's the real winner?

They are cheaters. Not denying there are legit heavy spenders, but there are actually articles in chinese and japanese talking about Nintendo finding cheaters that has bunch of 40+10s, level 99 units, and units with all 100 stats running around. They also mentioned that because these cheats or hacks are supposedly easy to do, there are alots of them and banning them can't really do much. Nintendo is going to have to seriously fix something before this get more serious.

Well I'd be incredibly happy to see these Lucina level 40+10 and Nino 40+10 bastards banned. I'm sick and tired of seeing both these units.

But since for me, I consider them having incredible luck or just big spenders like he said. It is possible for them to hack their stats, not just the three main lords.
I'm being childish I know, but these people keep ruining my deathless streaks, plus Gronnblade or just the blade tomes in general are just way too overpowered.

Indeed, but you really never get pinned against them. Regular heavy spenders however, are common in the top arena. I've seen many +8 or higher units but their stats are pretty reasonable.
