Hey guys, I got a surprise Celica today (+spd -def) and I already have Tharja (+spd -hp). I assume that they both serve similar purpose of being fast red nukes. Am I missing any significant difference other than their tomes?
Both units do the same role but do things rather differently.
Tharja, her blade tome takes advantage of the Stat boost the unit gains, for example from Fortify and Hone Skills. Thus pushing her attack much higher.
Celica has a more passive boost, a +5 atk/ +5 spd during combat, with the downside of taking 5 damage and can only gain the boost at 100% health.
Long Story Short: Role is the same, Tomes work differently.
Not really, their tomes are the only thing that are significant between them. Tharja, being a -blade user relies on team support to get those buffs, but as a result has a greater damage potential. Celica can be a one-woman army using Ragnarock w/ +Atk/Spd, LnD and Renewal. You've got good IVs for both of them, and would definitely recommend building both up, it's just a question of team composition and what mode.
