Celica: Red Mage - which skill suits her better, Swift Sparrow 2 or Life and Death?

In the topic title. She’s current got life and death 3 and renewal to recharge ragnarok. However, I now have 3 Katarina’s and was considering swapping L&D for swift sparrow2.

Obviously I’m aware that on the one hand I gain a permanent attack and speed increase for reduced bulk and on the other, she becomes a more purely player phase orientated unit, but she is anyway.

Thoughts?

Yeah if you have Katarinas to spare, then Swift Sparrow would be good on her. Gives her some resistance in the event that she's caught in a position of taking a hit, while keeping almost the same offensive buff for player phase.

You already use her for player phase, so I say use swift sparrow. It will allow for her to have that 5 extra def/res in the event she can’t kill her target in one shot, at the cost of 1 atk/spd point. It would allow her to engage targets that may have killed her on their counterattack, and then she can double and kill them.

I use LnD, mostly because I never have any SS fodder, but either should work fine. Go with LnD if you plan to bait green mages with her.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve decided to give her swift sparrow 2 since I have the fodder (hurrah! at last!) and because I’ve noticed that in arena she’s surviving with barely any HP and they’ll come back to bite me as some point

Phew! That decision was further justified when she survived an attack by +10 Winter Tharja with 1 HP (she had 27 HP after killing DC winter Lissa)

It’s amazing how razor thin the margins can be just by adding an extra 5 def/res.

Glad my advice actually came into practice lol
