cavalry team??

I want to set up a good cavalry team for use, maybe not so much in arena (though maybe someday if I can get Brave Veronica). I have Reinhardt's at 4 star and I want to build one up, the best iv set I have is +Res/-Spd.

I suppose my question here is how can I make that IV set work for him since he doesn't have the attack boon and which of the units below would be best in a team with him? (I am considering Gunnthra, Hrid, and Legendary Ephraim because the other unit's don't have the best iv's).

5* cavalry units
Legendary Ephraim (+Atk/-Res and +Hp/-Spd).
Hrid (+Hp/-Res)
Xander (neutral iv set)
Gunnthra (+Hp/-Res)
Summer Linde (+Def/-Res)
Priscilla (+Res/-Atk)

I would suggest that you wait for an atk boon Reinhardt as it would make things a lot easier. I would use either Hrid or Gunnthra for Wind blessing, which could boost stats for the other cavalry units you want, such as a cavalry healer. I would pick Gunnthra and give her something like Fury 3 to patch up her resistance, and for now just merge your Ephraims and use Xander and Priscilla or another cavalry healer.

Cheers! Out of curiosity, why Xander over Hrid? Hrid overall has better defences and attack.

I think I will wait for Reinhardt since I can make do with what units I have though.

The first Ephraim is great. Summer Linda is decent. Xander or Hrid will work well for a tank, maybe Hrid for more utility. And Gunnthra works well with Hrid if you are good at debuff/buffing. That would be my team at least.

With Summer Linde I can sort of fix up her speed if I make sure to give hone/goad to other cavalry units. I have been using Hrid and Gunnthra together while I was leveling them and they have really good synergy with the b slot skills so I think I'll keep them together! :)

I used Reinhardt without an attack boon for the longest time and of course he wants the boon, but he can get by without it. Reinhardt is pretty easy to build around, he just wants someone that can deal with the green units he can't kill. A strong red unit like Hrid works, especially if you're using Gunnthra. On paper Summer Linde would fit right in but I think the healing from Priscilla would be better to keep Gunnthra and Hrid healthy enough to use their B-slots.

Edit: Hmm.. didn't realize Priscilla had a superbane in attack. Do you have any other cavalry healers? Maybe Ethlyn?

I do have 4* Priscilla's, one with an atk boon, but I also do have +1 merged Ethlyn! I could sub Priscilla out for Ethlyn since I don't really want to build up another healer in the event I can pull Brave Veronica in future (the regret I feel for not picking her as the free summon..immense..)

And thank you for your comment on Reinhardt! A lot of his skillsets are centred on that attack boon so I wasn't sure how well I could make do with a +res one. Hrid and Gunnthra work well together with the b-slots for debuffing from what I saw in levelling them so I will keep them together I reckon.

If you're planning on using Hríd and Gunnthra then I'd recommend bring S!Linde along too. As a dagger unit she is a great debuffer, which Hríd and Gunnthra highly benefit from. And Ephraim is a solid choice for a lance cavalry, although Camus is another good option if you specifically want one with DC. Although I'd say Ephraim is better overall.

The only problem I have with Summer Linde is her speed bane, though if I give hone/goad to other units I can patch that at least to ensure she won't die outright from an attack. With that in mind, would it be best? to put those on Hrid and Ephraim, considering their speed isn't going to push above 30's and could still be doubled?

I do have a one Hector I can use for distant counter fodder I could put on Ephraim, though I am kind of saving it in case a good unit in future appears that really benefits from it :x
