Canas looks adorable, but...

Yeaaah, he really feels like a filler for TT character like Tobin or Clive.

He can do things, Canas is not uselss. But...
There are units that just can do what Canas can, but better. Just like with Tobin and Clive.
Julius is just straight up better than him. The fact that Canas has 2 more spd and no anti dragon weakness doesn't matter when Julius has Loptous, and his very high atk/res

Canas really drew the short end with the current addition to FEH. His attack is "okay", his speed is meh, his defense is practically non-existent, and his resistance is "okay" at best.

The thing is that his defenses are mildly okay for an Owltome unit. XD

He sucks ass, we already got julius and arvis as free red mages just to rub salt in the wound, then they give him res tactic and ruarowl so he's destined to be fodder and nothing more

Canas is here for a good thing, and that's GIVING HIS OWL TOME TO RED TOME! He has no other purpose xD.
Just Raigh with 1less def and 4more res.... sad story... and Karla who was useless in fe7 is insanely strong... There is no justice :(

Unpopular opinion time

In my personal opinion, Canas is better then Julius and relatively equal to Arvis. His native, refinable tome plus a more rounded stat spread has more viability. Plus, said tome is an Owl Tome, which I think are harder take down reliably. He may never hit as hard as Julius, but, I think he is more usable.

He probably resembles Katarina with less offencive capability. He cant be worse than Julius for one reason he is mixed phase unit in my opinion because his spd is workable thanks to a slot skill and owl tome. Looks fine for me
