Can someone please explain how Distant Defense works?

Would you get the stat boost WHILE you are under attack, or will you get it AFTER an attack? Or both? Hopefully someone here can clarify exactly how this skill works.

I'm curious to see if I can use this for Effie with Berkut's Lance.. I want her to be less vulnerable to magic attacks.

You get it while you are under attack. It’s treated like a Spur type buff. And yes, Effie works wonders with it and Berkut’s Lance. :)

Thanks! Now my Effie can reach up to 42 res without buffs when under attack. :)
