Can Selena actually have some use outside of SI fodder?

I don't NEED a sword unit since I have both Marth and Lucina, but I'm getting a bit bored of grinding TT, especially because I don't have my builds fully complete yet so I can't defeat lunatic anyways. So I decided to try and raise a normally overlooked unit into a good one. Selena has good defensive bulk and speed in exchange for her attack. I was thinking about a TA build with Brave Sword+ since I have an Ogma I'm never going to use again. Maybe Desperation as her B skill, Threaten Spd as her C, and Ardent Sacrifice/Reciprocal Aid as her support and Bonfire as her special. How does this build sound? Her boon/bane is +Def -Res

Her very good bulk would be ruined by her native Triangle Adept so I'd recommend removing this ability since she'd be able to survive hits from blue units without this skill. Her high defense already stops any green axe heroes in their tracks while she might stuggle against green mages, she has the speed to stop their follow ups. Brave Sword I would highly recommend you stay away from that weapon, Selena's base attack is too low to abuse this weapon and you'd be giving up her really good speed and if you planned on running Life and Death you'd be giving up her bulk as well. I would suggest just running Wo Dao+ since the +10 on special damage helps her low attack stat and running Fury 3 to increase her bulk and stop even more follow ups.

That build actually sounds much better than what I was planning. I don't have a Karel to sacrifice so I might substitute that with a Silver Sword until then. I plan on having her on a team with Olivia, B. Cordelia, and Nino so I have plenty of buffs to give her, which could make her an actual threat. Fury won't give her enough speed to deal with faster sword units so I might give her Sword Breaker instead of Desperation. Should be a fun project!

You have many options, if choosing +Spd as your boon you'd be hitting 41 speed as a 5* or a 4* +5 if including Fury, if you don't have a spare karel then running Silver sword or Killing edge will do fine, since her main special should be Bonfire to give her some burst damage.
