Can event items in AR be destroyed

You can destroy them.

Built the Feh Statue and destroyed it on "test defenses".

They are not an "extra" piece are they? Meaning, I would still have to remove something to put one up.

They're a cosmetic item. The yellow star one lets you place up to 4 separate items.

Wow, that's gonna get annoying. Going to be a cluster, just trying to break thru layers of structures.

The resources to build them will go away at the end of the event. Will the cosmetic items disappear as well?
