Caeda v Clair, which is better

Since Clair’s weapon and refine is just a blue wing sword, I was wondering what public opinion, at least early public opinion is on who will be better. My vote goes to Caeda, the majority of armors are green, at least in the meta, not to mention the domination of green in the meta in general. Caeda also has a tad more speed, and a superboon to make up the tad less attack then Clair. They’ll function pretty much identical, but I’d still give the edge to Caeda. What do you all think?

Caeda is probably better.

There aren't many red fliers. One's a seasonal mage, and one's a 5* exclusive, so it's really between Caeda and Palla.

Blue units have a bit more competition.

I think Caeda gets the edge here. Clair faces pretty tough competition as the blue unit of choice for fliers. Caeda replaced Elincia on my team simply because of her availability, and is a way better choice than Palla.

I agree that Clair has competion for the blue slot, but as long as youre not making an arena team, she has her own role that no other blue flying unit can fill. She’s the only one who can counter both armor and calvary at the same time. I’m sure Cordelia (and other sinilar units) are better overall, but depending on the situation, I think Clair has potential. (A lot of top tier units are armor or calvary)

Doesn't Est kill armored units better than her, though?

And, from my experience, cavalry units aren't necessarily that much of an issue aside from B!Lyn (because she's an archer).

But Clair can fight armored units AND calvary units which is about half the game (2/4 move types). Again, shes not the #1 pick for an arena team, but shes good for the pvp maps

I agree, she can definitely still be very useful for sure. She might not make the cut for my arena offense team, but I could definitely see a Caeda/Clair/Cherche/Hinoka (WF) team to cheese some arena defense wins with and in being used in other game modes. I got a pity breaker Clair a really long time ago, but I'll be dusting her off and giving her a build finally

That can sound crazy, but I had more Elincias (3 of them) since i began the game than Caedas. I got Caeda only twice in one year! (And never had Kagero ever)

Isn't it weird how that works? There's a few 3-4*'s that rarely ever pop up for me also. I keep waiting for Elincia to appear on another banner but noooooooooo lol Feels like she's only ever been on like, 2 that I can remember off of the top of my head.

I guess its all down to the situation. Clair has a small edge over caeda when fighting reinhardt because she doesnt have a triangle disavantage. But if you try to fight hector, caeda is much better. I guess its really up to what level youre playing. They seem interchangable.

Going against popular opinion here but I think Clair is better. They have the same properties but blue physical units are in general weaker than their red counterparts. e.g. Ayra > Nephenee, Zelgius > Effie. Speaking of which, Clair can fight most Zelgius and Effie builds whereas there are still a number of green armors Caeda may have trouble against. i.e. Speedmelia and Omnibreaker Hector.
