In my experience, I tend to only run one Armor March unit on my team at a time. Two seems a little overkill, especially if all of your units also have Pivot/Swap/Repo etc., but I've seen some teams utilize two Armor March units. It comes down to preference, playstyle, and availability.
Ward Armor is generally the most popular option because it stacks with multiple copies, and armor units tend to clump together anyway. Consider a typical "Armor March formation," with your AM unit in the middle and your other three units on its sides. If all of your other units have Ward Armor, that means everyone on your team is receiving +8 Def/Res in combat (with your AM unit receiving +12)
