Byrnhildr's Effect

I'm pretty sure someone already asked this question since the release of close/distant def skills, but is the +6 def from distant def calculated for the activation of Byrnhildr's new effect?

It should because generally, weapons of this type (e.g. Great Flame) calculates the DEF differences during combat, which includes in-combat buffs including Distant Def unless explicitly stated otherwise

Bryhildr will reduce damage after Distant Defense activates, so the damage received goes something like .7(Opponent's attack-(Leo's Res + 6)). Hope that makes sense.

While I don‘t have a Leo to test it, the effect should work like Myrrh‘s Great Flame, which means that skills like Distant Defense, Steady Stance and Earth Boost work with Brynhildr‘s effect.

It should work the same way as things like Death Blow with Blazing Durandal and Steady Stance with Great Flame, so yes, it should be taken into account.
