A bunch of questions for Hector.

1. Should I throw him on my arena team? For this season I’m currently using L!Ike, Myrrh, Nowi, and Arvis. Could he replace Myrrh or no? Would he ever make the cut?

2. What’s the cheapest C I could give him other than his native Goad? I’m likely not going to use other armors with him.

3. Would using armor boots be stupid? What may be a better option, especially if seals like distant def are already being used (if I were to use him on my arena team)?

4. Do you think swap or pivot would be better?

5. Who does he pair well with?

Hector is a great choice for Arena, and he could probably replace Myrrh if you want (pretty sure they have somewhat similar BSTs).

For his C Skill, I usually like using Hone Spd to help the rest of my team land doubles. Any sort of Hone/Spur skill will work. Just choose one based on the needs of your team

Armored Boots works, but has less Arena weight. If you have QR, Close Def, Heavy Blade, or Deflect Magic those all will work well.

I personally prefer Pivot. I think Swap is mostly better for Armor Emblem.

Honestly, the team comp you have is already great imo. Nowi can easily check most reds, L!Ike is good against Greens, and Arvis is a good mage and support unit.

Thanks so much for the detailed response! :)

Just one more question if you don’t mind. So I did some research and found a build that utilizes Aether/Sol alongside Renewal. Would that be worth a try for modes like TT or chain challenge? Or should I hold onto my Chrom and Fae for another day?

Hmmm, I think that would only be helpful if you didn’t have any sort of healer on your team. If you plan on using this same team comp in TT and CC, then Arvis can fill that role. I might hold onto both of them until after you build your Hector and test his performance, then decide if the self-healing build would be more helpful. His classic Vantage set is pretty low investment as is, so you won’t have to grind as much SP if you do decide to use that build.

Ah yeah I probably should’ve been more clear, it would be so that he wouldn’t need a healer. I think that it would be a good idea to wait. It would probably be overkill lol. Thanks for the help!

I prefer swap as the arena maps change and are sometimes tight, so pivot will not work from time to time.
My support skills on my current arena team are Reposition, Smite, Swap and Pivot
