Building Olwen a bit differently

Hi! Today I spent some orbs on the new BHB banner and fortunately I got an offbanner Olwen with +def -hp IVs. I know my best bet with those IVs is still just running a Blade tome and using her on a Horse Emblem team. The thing is I don't like Horse Emblem too much and I'd like to build her as more of a mixed team mage. I'd also like to capitalize on the boon. I know her physical bulk is still kinda mediocre, but I was thinking about giving her +def Blarowl and Fury. This way she'll have 29 defense and 35 with full Blarowl buffs(also 40 speed), which is not that bad imo. Maybe even Bowbreaker to allow her to check non-Brave Bow BLyn builds? I'd like to read your thoughts on this.

Thanks in advance!

With 40 spd this way, it's also not a bad idea to use Desperation, which has great synergy with Fury too. Her HP pool is low enough that getting to it is easier just by attacking stuff. Just be wary of positioning as you don't always get to use the T formation to get full owl buffs.

Wouldn't desperation be a bit contradictory since he/she wants to use Olwen as a enemy phase unit?
In any case, I think it's not worth to use her that way. it would make much more sense to just give her LnD and a blarblade, since her defenses aren't high enough to be a good enemy phase unit (the owl tome plan could work for some scenarios, but it would be forcing a team to support a unit not suited for the task)

This is also nice insight. I think Desperation makes sense can work for a mixed phase build which is what I’m planning to do. You know, bait, kill if possible and still be useful on the player phase. But yeah, Blarblade is probably better. It’s just that I really like enemy phase builds, it’s what I’ve been using since I started using Inigo as a metacheck. I’ll consider both builds, though. Thank you very much for your insight!
