Brave Roy IV dilemma

I have a +spd -def Brave Roy whom I love...

I recently pulled a +atk -res Brave Roy.

Is that a better boon for him, due to heavy blade?

The attack/Speed stat comparisons, with fury, are:

54/40 for +spd
57/37 for +atk

Do I merge them, and if so which IV do I keep?
Or do I keep one for gale force fodder?

Not sure, to be honest. Both of them are really good boons, but +Speed messes with his defense, and that's probably not for the best.

Maybe +Atk is better since his weapon's effect goes off of him having more attack than his opponent.

I envy you... I only have a -Spd/+Def
They are both really good on him, but it depends on how you are using him. Generally -Res is better than -Def, and cavalry buffs can increase speed anyway. If you are not using him in a cavalry team, I would use the +Spd one instead.

His skills aren't particular noteworthy, and you can get Galeforce on Cordelia, so it's fine to merge.

keep +atk -res and merge them since you can get galeforce from upgrading a 4 star cordelia to 5 star then fodding

I think +Atk is better since with a boon you are basically guaranteed to activate his weapon's effect while his speed can be patched with Horse Buffs when needed. Also, +Atk helps ensure some OHKOs on units that have speed too high to double even after buffs.
