Brave Hector or Brave Ephraim?

So I started recently and I have Fjorm, Legendary Ike, and Brave Lyn. I have been deciding on who I should get for the free summon for several days. I was thinking of avoiding Celica because I want to use def tactic and also Veronica because I already have Lyn. Def tactic will buff and activate Garm for Ephraim who also has special fighter while Hector has bold fighter, special cooldown 1, and qr 5, but I already have two dc units. I wanna know which of the two will fit on my team.

Oh I just realized I don’t have any greens, I’m so stupid. Ephraim is probably the better choice being green. I still wanna know which of the two will be much better in different circumstances.

If you do end up choosing one of the armor's, I would go for hector though, he is the best blue armor, ephraim imo is far form the best green armor(Legendary Hector, LA Hector and M!Grima are my top ones)

But Ephraim has Garm and special fighter.

Didnt run sims for Grima, but i did run sims for ephraim and id rank him 2nd if not the 1st green armor in the game. Unmerged, with a proper build ( DC, ignis and close def seal) and team support he can take on more champions, on +3 and both hones activated ( 6/6/6/6 ), on both phases, including celica, rein ( DB4 ), nino, nowi, effie, zelgius ( bold fighter too, ephraim has to be + atk to get him on player phase though ), while hector in the same situation has worse matchups and loses vs more meta units just because he's blue and theres a lot of cheap greens, also he loses to zelgius even if he has perf IVs and ephraim is able to get by with anything thats not -atk. If you can afford to not run armor march and run 1 ward armor instead, ephraim turns into a monster, and again in the same situation hector has worse matchups on both phases. Also, ephraim rides the 30-36 speed line better than hector, allowing him to avoid and deal doubles vs certain units, usually other armors. I'd actually recommend against going -spd on ephraim as it actually fucks up more of his matchups than taking -res, allowing him to kill effies and hectors.

if you plan on remaining F2P i would pick veronica, if you will be purchasing orbs the armors will be great. Or if there is someone you just love as a character go for that. I say that because most people choose to build armor teams because they score the highest in arena, but this takes merging them to +10. If you are F2P it's best to build an armor team with units that are very easy to acquire(draug,gwendolyn etc). Veronica is similar to brave lyn but also significantly different and a single copy will be good enough for everything she can do for you(because horse emblem isnt going to get you super high in arena). For example, check out Pheonixmaster's guide's to the abyssal maps on youtube and how much veronica did for those teams

I would go for Ephraim... he is amazing and kills everything and I think he is the best user of Special Fighter, an amazing skill btw that gives him breath and bold fighter effects aka charge +1 to special in both faces... and with Garn works wonders... his bulk is nice and his atk is very high... if u give him the close def seal and his a skill almost nothing can touch him lol and if u pair him with another armor the armor march skill will be very useful... also greens are the best unit imo
btw if u can give im Aether i would do it, it just works amazing with special fighter
